Passport
Valid for at least 6 months beyond the last intended date of departure from the UK.
Must contain at least 2 blank visa pages.
Should have no alterations or handwritten amendments on the data pages.
Proof of Sufficient Funds for Undertaking Travel
Applicant must provide the last 6 months of bank statements (e-statements) if employed. If the applicant is not employed, the bank statement of the person sponsoring the trip is required.
If the applicant is self-employed, the company’s 6-month bank statement is also required.
All bank statements must be dated within the last 1 week.
ITR (Income Tax Return)
Provide the income tax return assessment for the last 3 years if employed. If not, provide the income tax return of the person sponsoring the trip.
If the applicant is self-employed, the company’s last 3 years of ITR must be provided, unless it’s a proprietorship firm.
Accommodation
A confirmed hotel voucher is required.
If staying with a relative or friend, provide their local address in the UK along with a copy of their ID proof.
Invitation
If invited from the UK, the valid passport copy of the invitee, along with their financial documents and an invitation letter specifying the purpose of the invitation.
Cover Letter
A covering letter from the applicant on A4 size paper (if employed) or on a business letterhead (if self-employed).
NOC (No Objection Certificate)
NOC from the employer (if employed) along with a copy of the ID card/business card.
NOC from the school/institute along with a copy of the ID card (if the applicant is a student or minor).
GST Copy
If self-employed, the applicant must provide a GST copy.
Travel History
The applicant must provide past travel history, including visa copies and travel dates, if applicable.
Other Financial Documents
The applicant may need to provide additional financial documents, such as Xerox copies of FDs, LICs, or a certified property valuation copy, to strengthen their application.
All Indian passport holders must have a valid visa to enter the United Kingdom.
Each applicant is required to submit all mandatory documents as listed in the requirement sections above.
In addition to the mentioned documents, visa experts or the respective embassy may request additional documents to process your visa. Your cooperation in providing any such documents is crucial for a successful outcome.

Can I withdraw my UK visa application?
Yes, you can withdraw your UK visa application. However, any visa fee and priority service fee paid are non-refundable. The UK consulate will retain your passport throughout the visa process. If applying from a third country, it can be concerning not having your passport. In case of an emergency, to withdraw your application, submit a withdrawal request with the reason via email to the consulate. It may take up to 72 hours for the consulate to locate and return your passport.
Do I need flight tickets before applying for a UK visa?
No, booking flights is not necessary before your UK visa gets approved. However, you must present a confirmed hotel voucher.
If my UK visa application is refused or denied, what options do I have?
If your UK visa application is denied, first understand the reason. If it's due to missing documents or insufficient proof of funds, you can reapply once you have all the required documents and proofs. The visa fee will need to be paid again as the original fee is non-refundable. If you are unsure about the reason for denial, it's recommended to wait at least 6 months before reapplying.
Is an interview required for a UK visa from India?
No, an interview is not required for a UK tourist visa from India.
What is the minimum bank balance required for a UK tourist visa?
While there's no fixed minimum balance, you must provide your last 6 months' bank statements. We recommend maintaining a balance of 2,00,000-3,00,000 INR for smoother processing of your visa application.
