How long is the validity of the Biometrics?

Biometrics are valid for 59 months for all Schengen countries. After your first biometric submission, you will see the VIS (Visa Information System) remark on your visa. However, some countries may require you to provide biometrics again for every application, regardless of validity, or if there’s an error in the captured biometric data. It’s recommended to consult with our E-Visa Application team before applying.

How long before should I apply for my Spain Visa Online?

You can submit your Spain online visa application up to 6 months before your travel date, but no later than 15 days before your planned departure.

I only have the last two years' ITR (Income Tax Return), can I apply for a Schengen visa?

While the preferred documentation is the last three years' ITR, you may still apply for a Schengen visa with the last two years' ITR if necessary.

If I have a valid Schengen visa in my old passport, can I travel to Finland with both my old and new passports?

If you hold an active visa for Finland in your old passport, it is required to email the Finland Embassy directly for validation. You may continue to use your old passport until the visa’s expiration if the embassy confirms this in their response.

Is it necessary to submit the visa application in person?

Yes, since November 2, 2015, all Schengen visa applicants must submit biometrics (fingerprints, palm prints, live photo, etc.) in person. This can be done at the designated Visa Facilitation Center (VFC) or, for some countries, at the consulate or embassy.
