Passport
Original passport issued within the last 10 years
Valid for at least 6 months beyond the last intended departure date from Estonia
Must contain at least 2 blank visa pages
No alterations or handwritten amendments on the data pages
Photograph
Three recent passport-size color photographs (35mm x 45mm) taken within the last 3 months
The facial image must be between 25mm and 35mm from chin to crown
Taken against a plain white background with a matte or semi-matte finish
Scanned or unclear photographs will not be accepted
Accommodation
The applicant must provide one of the following:
Confirmed hotel voucher
Official invitation from the host in Estonia
Flight Ticket
Confirmed round-trip flight reservation (India to Estonia and return)
Itinerary
Day-wise travel plan on plain A4-size paper
If booked through a travel agent, the itinerary should be on the agent’s letterhead
Travel Insurance
Mandatory with a minimum coverage of 30,000 Euros (or 50,000 USD) per person
Must cover repatriation for medical reasons, urgent medical attention, or emergency hospital treatment
Insurance should cover the entire stay in the Schengen area
For multiple-entry visas (6 months or 1 year), coverage for the first journey is sufficient
Proof of Sufficient Funds
Last 6 months' bank statement, signed and attested by a bank official
If the applicant is not employed, they must provide the bank statement of the person sponsoring their trip
Bank statements must be dated within the last week
Income Tax Returns (ITR)
ITR assessment for the last 3 years
If the applicant is not employed, the ITR of the trip sponsor must be provided
Cover Letter
A covering letter from the applicant on A4-size paper (if employed)
If self-employed, the letter must be on official business letterhead
Employment Letter
Official letter on company letterhead, stamped and dated
Must include contact details (address, email, phone number)
Should mention the applicant’s name, position, salary, years of employment, and approval of leave
No Objection Certificate (NOC)
From school/institute along with a copy of the student/minor’s ID card
GST Copy (For Self-Employed Applicants)
Self-employed applicants must provide a copy of their GST registration
Leave Letter (For Employed Applicants)
Leave letter from the employer along with a copy of the employment ID card
Biometric Data Submission
Indian citizens applying for a Schengen visa for the first time must appear in person for biometric data submission
Children under 12 years old are exempt
Shiva YSR will schedule an appointment for biometric data submission
Previously submitted biometric data (after 2nd November 2015) remains valid for 59 months
Some Schengen member countries may require re-submission of biometric data if deemed necessary

Visa Rules for Multiple Schengen Country Visits:
If visiting multiple Schengen countries, Estonia must be the country where you stay the longest.
If the duration of stay is the same in all Schengen countries, Estonia must be the first country of entry in the Schengen area.

Is travel insurance mandatory for a Schengen visa?
Yes, travel insurance is mandatory for all 27 Schengen countries. You can apply for travel insurance online instantly.
Can I submit an E-statement for my visa application?
No, the bank statement must cover the last 6 months and be stamped and signed on every page by the bank. It must also be printed on A4-size paper.
Do I need confirmed flight and accommodation bookings for my Schengen visa application?
No, confirmed tickets and bookings are not mandatory before obtaining your visa. Shiva YSR, India's first E-Visa agency, can assist with temporary hold bookings for your application.
How long is biometric data valid for Schengen visas?
Biometric data is valid for 59 months for all Schengen countries. You can identify the VIS (Visa Information System) remark on your visa issued after your first biometrics submission. However, some countries may require biometrics for every application, regardless of prior submission. It’s best to consult with our E-Visa team before applying.
When should I apply for my Estonia visa?
You can apply for an Estonia visa up to 6 months before your travel date but no later than 15 days before departure.
I only have ITR for the last two years. Can I still apply for a Schengen visa?
While a three-year ITR is preferred, you may still apply if you have at least two years of ITR.
Can I travel to Estonia with both my old and new passports if my Schengen visa is on the old one?
If your Schengen visa is still valid on your old passport, you must email the Estonia Embassy for confirmation. If validated, you can travel with both passports until the visa expires.
Is it necessary to submit my visa application in person?
Yes, as of November 2, 2015, all Schengen visa applicants must provide biometrics (fingerprints, palm print, live photo, etc.) in person at the designated Visa Facilitation Center (VFC), consulate, or embassy.
