Visa processing timelines may vary as per public holidays observed in both India and your intended destination country.

  • Passport

    • Original passport issued within the last 10 years

    • Valid for at least 6 months beyond the last intended departure date from Croatia

    • Must have at least 2 blank visa pages

    • No alterations or handwritten amendments on the data pages

    • Old passport (if any)


    Photographs

    • Three recent colored passport-size photographs (35mm x 45mm, without border)

    • The facial image must be between 25mm and 35mm from chin to crown

    • Taken against a plain white background with a matte or semi-matte finish

    • Scanned or unclear photographs will not be accepted


    Accommodation Proof (Provide any one of the following)

    • Confirmed hotel reservation

    • Cruise confirmation voucher

    • If staying with friends or relatives, an invitation letter along with:Invitee's ID proof (passport or residence card copy)
      Financial documents of the invitee (colored scanned copies via email are acceptable)

    Flight Ticket

    • Confirmed flight reservation (India to Croatia & return)


    Itinerary

    • Day-wise travel plan on A4 paper

    • If booked through a travel agent, it must be on their official letterhead


    Travel Insurance (Mandatory)

    • Minimum coverage: €30,000 or $50,000 USD per person

    • Must cover medical repatriation, urgent medical attention, and emergency hospital treatment

    • Should be valid for the entire stay in the Schengen area

    • For 6-month or 1-year multiple-entry visas, providing insurance for the first journey is sufficient


    Proof of Sufficient Funds

    • Last 6 months' bank statement, signed & attested by a bank official (if employed)

    • If sponsored, provide the bank statement of the sponsor

    • Statements must be dated within the last week


    Income Tax Return (ITR)

    • ITR assessment for the last 3 years (if employed)

    • If sponsored, provide the sponsor's ITR


    Cover Letter

    • A cover letter on A4-size paper (if employed)

    • If self-employed, the letter must be on official business letterhead


    Employment Letter

    • Must be on official company letterhead, stamped and dated

    • Should include contact details (address, email, phone) & countersigning officer's details (name, position, signature)

    • Must confirm job title, salary, employment duration, and approval of leave


    No Objection Certificate (NOC)

    • For students/minors: NOC from school/institute with a copy of the student ID card


    GST Copy (

    For Self-Employed Applicants)

    • GST registration copy is required


    Leave Letter (For Employed Applicants)

    • Leave approval letter from the employer

    • Copy of the employment ID card


    Biometric Data (Schengen Visa Requirement)

    • Indian citizens applying for a Schengen visa for the first time must submit biometric data in person

    • Children under 12 years are exempt from biometric submission

    • Previously submitted biometric data (post 2nd November 2015) remains valid for 59 months

    • In certain cases, member countries may request re-submission of biometric data

  • Croatia and the Schengen Area

    Croatia is one of the 27 Schengen countries.

    The Schengen Area includes the following countries:
    Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.


    Schengen Visa Rules for Multiple Countries:

    • If visiting multiple Schengen countries, the primary destination (where you will stay the longest) should be Austria.

    • If the duration of stay is equal in all Schengen countries, the visa must be applied through the first country of entry.


    Visa Application Guidelines:

    • Applicants must submit all mandatory documents as specified in the requirements section.

    • Additional documents may be required by visa experts or the embassy to process your visa. Cooperation in providing these documents is essential for a successful application.

    • Visa fees are non-refundable, regardless of approval or rejection.

    • Processing times are indicative and subject to change. Visa fees may also fluctuate.

  • Are there any additional fees associated with a Croatia visa application?

    Yes, additional fees include:

    • INR 1,928 for VFS Logistics

    • INR 578 for courier services

    • INR 463 for optional SMS updates

    • INR 4,050 for optional premium lounge services

    Are these additional fees mandatory?

    No, these fees are optional. You can choose not to opt for these additional services if you do not wish to use them.


    Can I cancel my accommodation in Croatia after my visa has been issued?

    While cancellation is possible, it may lead to the revocation of your visa.


    Can I purchase travel insurance for Croatia after submitting my visa application?

    Yes, you can purchase travel insurance after submitting your application. However, it is recommended to purchase it beforehand to avoid delays or complications.


    Do I need a visa for Croatia if I hold a valid Schengen visa?

    No, a valid Schengen visa allows you to enter Croatia without an additional visa.


    Do I need any special permits to enter Croatia with a Schengen visa?

    No special permits are required. You only need to present your valid Schengen visa at the Croatian border.

    No, notarized consent is not required if the child is traveling with a parent or legal guardian. It is only needed if the minor is traveling alone.
