If booked through a travel agent, it must be on their official letterhead
Travel Insurance (Mandatory)
Minimum coverage: €30,000 or $50,000 USD per person
Must cover medical repatriation, urgent medical attention, and emergency hospital treatment
Should be valid for the entire stay in the Schengen area
For 6-month or 1-year multiple-entry visas, providing insurance for the first journey is sufficient

Last 6 months' bank statement, signed & attested by a bank official (if employed)
If sponsored, provide the bank statement of the sponsor

Must confirm job title, salary, employment duration, and approval of leave

For students/minors: NOC from school/institute with a copy of the student ID card

Biometric Data (Schengen Visa Requirement)
Indian citizens applying for a Schengen visa for the first time must submit biometric data in person
Children under 12 years are exempt from biometric submission
Previously submitted biometric data (post 2nd November 2015) remains valid for 59 months
In certain cases, member countries may request re-submission of biometric data
