Visa processing timelines may vary as per public holidays observed in both India and your intended destination country.

  • 1. Passport

    • Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the last intended date of departure from New Zealand.

    • Should not contain any alterations or handwritten amendments in the data pages.


    2. Photograph

    • One recent color passport-size photograph (35mm x 45mm, without a border), taken within the last 3 months.

    • The applicant's full face must be clearly visible, without headgear, against a plain white background.


    3. Proof of Sufficient Funds

    • The applicant must provide a bank statement for the last 6 months, signed and attested by a bank official.

    • If self-employed, a company bank statement for the last 6 months is also required.

    • All bank statements must be dated within the last week of submission.


    4. Invitation

    • If staying with relatives or friends, an invitation letter along with a copy of the host's ID proof is required.

    • If visiting for a medical emergency related to a daughter or daughter-in-law’s pregnancy, a letter from the hospital or doctor confirming the medical condition is required.


    5. Cover Letter

    • The applicant must submit a cover letter on either plain A4 paper (if employed) or business letterhead (if self-employed).


    6. Income Tax Returns (ITR)

    • For employed applicants: Income tax return (ITR) assessments for the last 3 years.

    • If ITR is unavailable, a salary slip or an NOC from the employer must be provided.

    • For self-employed applicants: Both personal and company ITRs for the last 3 years are required.


    7. No Objection Certificate (NOC)

    • For employed applicants: A NOC from the employer along with a copy of the employment ID card or business card.

    • Alternatively, salary slips for the last 3 months along with a copy of the employment ID card can be provided.

    • For minors (under 18 years old):
      A notarized NOC from any non-accompanying parent, along with copies of both parents' passports.
      If traveling with family, proof of enrollment from the school/college/institute along with an NOC from the institution is required.


    8. GST Copy

    • If self-employed, the applicant must provide a copy of their GST registration certificate.


    9. Additional Documents (For Minors Staying in New Zealand Without Parents/Guardians)

    • If a child under 18 years is staying in New Zealand with someone other than their parents, legal guardians, or relatives, a signed declaration from the responsible caretaker in New Zealand is required.

    • The caretaker’s valid ID proof or passport copy must also be submitted.

    • A valid visa is required for all Indian passport holders traveling to New Zealand.


    • Applicants must submit all mandatory documents as specified in the requirements section.

    The processing time for a New Zealand visitor visa typically ranges from 40 to 60 business days. It is recommended to apply well in advance of your intended travel date.


    How much bank balance is required for a New Zealand visa?
    Applicants must provide proof of sufficient funds for their stay. A minimum balance of NZD 5,000 (approximately INR 2.5-3 lakhs) should be reflected in the last six months' bank statements per visa application.
